Comic Summary: Magneto has come to rescue Beast, but Beast refuses to escape. He wants to prove his innocence at a public trial. Magneto and Beast debate the Mutant/Human conflict as the prison guards mount an attack against Magneto. Magneto destroys the small attackforce including their tanks and other armored vehicles. In the X-Mansion, Professor Xavier watches the video tape from the prison, and informs Jubilee of his past relationship with Magneto. He describes Magneto as an old friend that he met in an hospital, and how in the face of a brutal army, Magneto becomes convinced that peace between mutants and normal humans is not possible. Xavier was forced to stop Magneto then, and it appears that Xavier must stop Magneto again.

Comic Summary: At the X-Men Mansion, Jubillee practices in the Danger Room with Professor watching overhead. The other X-Men are away on a mission and have left the two alone in the mansion. Suddenly, the alarms sound letting them know of an intruder. Jubilee goes to investigate only to find the threat is Sabretooth. Creed attacks the Professor, knocking him out, leaving only Jubilee to deal with him. Jubilee traps Sabretooth in the Danger Room for long enough to help the Professor and wait it out until the other X-Men arrive home to deal with him.

Elsewhere, the Professor gives a speech about mutants and humans. Below in the tunnels, Plague infects Molto with sickness in attempts to break the Morlock and Lava Men's truce. The speech above is interrupted by Molto gone crazy with sickness. The Beast comes up with a quick cure and stops Molto from doing anymore damage.

They cannot stop the strangers from boarding an airship and escaping with Xavier. Later when Xavier wakes he finds himself captured by the Man Beast. The Man Beast and his New Men are using the Professor's powers to control all of humanity country by country so they can rule the Earth completely. The X-Men track Xavier and attack his kidnappers. In the fight a man appears and says that he is the creator of these Beasts and promises to turn them back to the animals they were and stop all experiments in the future.
