Comic Summary: Contessa Valentina Allegra de la Fontaine is shocked to see Nick Fury entering her her room, which is a shock because she believes that he is dead. Their heartfelt reunion is interrupted by the Punisher who puts a gun to Fury's head. Calling out for help, the Contessa spots the Hulk, but he is disinterested in saving Fury who is then shot. The Contessa wakes up to discover it was all a dream. Sitting up in bed, Contess blames herself for Fury's death, believing that there could have been more she could have done. At that moment in New York City, the Hulk is sitting in Central Park thinking the very same thing. Elsewhere, Dino Minello meets up with his fellow Howling Commandos: Gabriel Jones, Izzy Cohen, and Eric Koenig. He informs his former teammates that Nick Fury is dead. After a moment of silence, the members of the Howling Commandos begin to laugh and joke around as they don't believe that Fury could actually be dead.

Comic Summary: The Hulk helps to bring a stranded train filled with people into safety. Afterwards, he goes back to the other heroes, who are busy making battle plans to defeat Onslaught. Hulk notices that nobody seems to trust him, besides the Falcon. The Hulk tries to make Captain America understand that they should attack Onslaught directly now, but Cap feels that it’s not the right time yet. The Hulk is determined to follow his plan and is able to bring the Falcon, Hawkeye, the Vision and Crystal to his side. They make tunnels to move under Central Park and hope to attack Onslaught at his castle. Unfortunately, Onslaught notices them and attacks the heroes. The Hulk can’t have it any more and grows out of control and destroys Onslaught’s armor. But Onslaught isn’t defeated yet and is now everywhere and can enter whoever’s mind he wishes. The fallen heroes return to their friends, distrusting the Hulk once more. Meanwhile, Rick Jones tries to reach New York, but finds resistance in the form of his girlfriend, Marlo, and the fact that no planes go to New York because of the disasters happening there. And at the same time, the mysterious Janis is rescued by the Pantheon, who believe that she knows more about the Hulk.

Comic Summary: Julie decides to enter the election for a position in the student government at her school, however she has a rival in Irena Crumb, daughter of billionaire and business man Arnold Crumb. When Irena and her friends leave the school, she is taken captive by Blizzard. Power Pack notices the kidnapping and pursuits the villian, though Julie is reluctant to save her rival. At the same time, Tony Stark is having a meeting with Arnold Crumb. When Arnold receives a ransom call from Irena's kidnappers, Tony promises to find her and suits up. Power Pack traces Blizzard to a warehouse, where the other kidnapper is revealed to be Speed Demon. Speed Demon critizes his parner for leading the heroes straight to their lair. Power Pack fights the villains, but Julie can't fully join the battle because Irena might recognize her. When it's clear that they are loosing the battle, Speed Demon grabs Irena and runs off, leaving Blizzard in Power Pack's hands. Julie snatches Blizzards mask to hide her identity and gives chase. She easily catches up with Speed Demon and saves Irena, after which Tony Stark arrives on the scene and arrests Speed Demon. The villains are arrested and Irena reunited with her father. To thank Julie for her help, Tony promises to support her campaign.

Comic Summary: Inside Fours Freedom Plaza, Reed Richards helps decipher the memories of the alien, Max Power, from Iron Man, after Iron Man was telepathically attacked by the now-comatose man. Together, they discover that Max Power discovered that Ego, the living planet, has been sent to Littletown, Nebraska, due to the Maximum Security program initiated on Earth. Iron Man and the Fantastic Four go to Littletown, where everything seems normal at first, but the five soon discover that the whole entire town has been absorbed by Ego. Ego ends the charade and attacks the Fantastic Four, while Iron Man discovers where the source of the Ego-spore is. He discovers that a delusional elderly couple has been taking care of the spore and thinks that it is their child. Iron Man injects the spore with an inoculant to make sure Ego does not set its roots in Littletown, thus slowing down his spread. Ego knocks out everyone and disappears to another part of the planet. Reed comes up with the idea of recompressing Ego back into the state he was put in when he was shipped to Earth, but he will need a cosmic host. Suddenly, the Thing attacks a mysterious man approaching them, who ends up being the Silver Surfer.
