| Comic Summary: |
The crew of the Starship Enterprise lead by James T Kirk follows their main course until an unidentified craft signal comes over the ship. The ship and signal is blocked by a large rift in space. Once in sight they attempt to pull the ship in by tractor beam, but it explodes before they can. Gladiator appears demanding that they leave, claiming the space property of Sharra and K'ythr. Making his point he punches the ship. Elsewhere in the ship, Logan looks on as the crew attempts to fight Gladiator. He returns to the rest of the X-men, hiding in the lower decks of the Enterprise. Reading the ships information they find they are not only in a different place in space then once believed, but also in the future. Gambit, being the last to teleport off the exploding ship, is taken to the medical lab by Storm and Beast. The others decide to find a way to stop Deathbird, which was their original mission. Jean uses her powers to try and find away off the ship. She is sensed by Spock who decides to find the source. In the med lab, Storm, Gambit and Beast are discovered by Doctor McCoy (the Star Trek one). he decides helping Gambit is more important then who the stowaways are. The others are found by Spock who take them to the Kirk and the rest of the crew. The X-men tell them about Deathbird. They decide to go after her. Later, Jean reads Kirk's mind feeling his uneasy. They realize that his friend, Gary, whom died at his hand, was a mutant. Deathbird attacks along with her ally Gary, who is on a mission of vengence. The X-men and Enterprise crew uses their combined power and weapons to destroy him and to foil Deathbird's plan. The X-men use Deathbird's ship to fly back through the rift and return home. |
