Comic Summary In Genosha, Xavier thinks back about the destruction that his twin sister, Cassandra Nova, caused. Resolving his emotions, Xavier opens a secret compartment on the bottom of the coffin near him. He removes an outfit that seems more soldier-like and a handful of electronic devices, including weapons. Trying to pick the coffin off the ground, he is embarrassingly thrown to the ground by his own momentum. A ghostly Moira MacTaggert appears near him and questions him of his intentions in Genosha. Xavier tells the mirage that he plans to figure out what has caused the large spike in mutant births. Elsewhere, Unus watches Xavier from afar and commands his three lackeys nearby him to go to Xavier and teach him a lesson. Back with Xavier, Moira has disappeared and Xavier finds a new mutant named Wicked. Talking to Wicked and seeing her powers in action, Xavier is stopped by Unus and his group as they show up to attack him. Xavier stops the three lackeys, while a new comer named Freakshow easily dispatches Unus. Xavier thanks the two mutants, Freakshow and Wicked, telling them that he would like to teach them, as he once taught the X-Men. After arriving at his destination, he psychically urges Freakshow and Wicked to go to bed. As the two of them walk away, Xavier turns around to meet an old ally, who has been waiting for him to arrive, the man named Magneto. (Brief description courtesy of uncannyxmen.net)

While Hodge rushes away to safe all of his information stored there, Storm restores all the X-teams‘ powers as Cyclops reveals that the explosion was caused by a robot autobomb of Forge’s design. To ensure the secrecy of this back-up plan, Forge had willed himself into unconsciousness to avoid mindscans. The mutants split up into three squads, two try to battle Hodge, the third will search for Wolfsbane. Downstairs Cameron Hodge checks the computer systems and find the mainframe still active, he leaves again to hunt the mutants by utilizing much of the computers sensory input like body heat signatures, and building blueprints. Rictor, Tabitha and Jubilee followed the Genegineer through a secret tunnel into the basement lab complex where they discover Wipeout’s dead body guarded by mutate 490 (Rahne). At first Ric and Boom-Boom believe the only way to restore their powers is gone, but then Storm, Cable and the other New Mutants arrive in the labs. With lightnings Ororo is able to reverse the power-negation, but Wolfsbane can only partially be restored. In wolfen form she has free will, but in human appearance she will be the mindless mutate again.

Comic Summary In a dream, Xavier recalls a memory of how, during the days when he travelled the world, he helped two mysterious women repel an invasion by the demon Synraith. While the original X-Men head into town Xavier remains at home, deeply disturbed by the memory. One of the two women, Gracie Gamble, in the meantime unearths a Venezuelan temple and learns of Synraith’s imminent return. She casts a spell to prevent it, but manages to achieve the opposite. The results manifest in two places, Ravenscroft and the Xavier Institute. In Ravenscroft live several of Gracie’s superpowered siblings, as well as their father Adam, the Clan Destine. They are discussing whether to allow their youngest siblings, Pandora and Rory, to embark on a crime-fighting career. During the discussion, Kay is acting uncommonly nasty towards Walter, the twins’ guardian, leading to a fight between the two of them. Suddenly she gets caught in a trance and tentacles appear form a rift in space to grab Kay. The others try to save her, but Walter can’t as he chooses to save Rory and only the indestructible Adam is drawn into the rift along with Kay. The Destines call their genius brother Newton for help, who manages to pinpoint the teleportation signal, enabling them to follow. However, they have no idea where they will end up. In the meantime at the Xavier Institute, during a training session between Cannonball and Storm the Room seems to malfunction and Wolverine has noticed something odd in the Danger Room. The X-Men call in Forge and Colossus to help examine the Danger Room. Here too a rift appears and tentacles draw in Xavier and Colossus. Wolverine intends to go in and help Xavier and Colossus but is stopped by Cyclops. The original five returned after Jean sensed something wrong with the Professor. Comic Summary Having entered through the strange portal they found, the Clan Destine ended up in the X-Men’s Danger Room and soon a full-fledged battle rages until Rory and Pandora stop it. The X-Men and the Clan compare notes, realizing that both of them are missing team members due to that portal and decide to work together. Hex, however, acts strangely, causing Wolverine to flip and gut him, which in turn causes Walter to go ballistic and injure Wolverine. Elsewhere, Xavier Colossus, Cuckoo, Adam and Gracie find themselves on what seems to be Synraith’s homeworld. Apparently, they are to witness the demon’s return to Earth. The three telepaths decide to fight Synraith, drawing him to this side of the portal and keep him here. In the Danger Room, the Clan members have realize that the increasingly erratic behaviour of the X-Men is meant to keep them apart and they begin to fight again. Colossus tries to attack Synraith to help the telepaths and fails, seemingly being horribly injured, but he manages to throw the indestructible Adam at the demon and the portal. Adam finds himself thrown through the Danger Room and lands in front of Wolverine, Storm, Forge and the original five who’ve been waiting for hours for something to happen. Wolverine recognizes Adam as an old friend whereas Cyclops considers him a threat. Wolverine finally realizes that it’s Cyclops that’s been driving him on edge. He attacks him and it is revealed that all the X-Men save for Wolverine, Forge and Storm are danger room drones controlled by Synraith. Synraith sends more drones at them, but Storm manages to disrupt the systems by throwing a focused lightning bolt. The illusion passes an all the X-Men and Clan members including the ones seemingly on Synraith’s world are actually in the Danger Room. In fact, the telepaths had been drawing Synraith towards Earth rather than stopping him. Armed with that knowledge, they capture the demon in the portal till it collapses and he is destroyed. Later, good-byes are said and Adam doubts that he and his family will be seen again. Wolverine hopes he’s wrong. (Brief description courtesy of uncannyxmen.net)

Comic Summary Shadowcat, Gambit and Wolverine are on a mission to retrieve information that was stolen from the X-Men some time back. They head to a military installation in the desert and enter it after taking out several guards. To locate what they want, they split up. Each of them encounters several holographic scenarios, which have them question the truth about some of the X-Men’s history. Gambit sees an alien called Rogue grab the woman he knows to be Rogue and take on her appearance. He then sees Psylocke aboard a shuttle, utilizing the Phoenix Force. He then sees a young Neal Sharra as a mutant-hating youth in Calcutta. Finally, he sees Emma Frost looking after Generation X, but in collusion with Sebastian Shaw and the Hellfire Club. Wolverine’s first scenario shows Beast testing the Legacy Virus on himself in order to find a cure. He next sees Mystique kidnapping a baby that turns out to be a young Kurt Wagner. He moves on to find Mister Sinister creating a clone of Jean Grey, which he intends to place in a cocoon in Jamaica Bay. He moves on to see Kitty Pryde as a baby, being taken in by a member of the Neo. Finally, he witnesses X-Force in Genosha in confrontation with Magneto. Meanwhile, Shadowcat first witnesses Colossus taking part in some nasty business with the Acolytes in outer space. She then watches Gambit making a deal with the Hand on behalf of the Thieves Guild. She then sees a possible link between Onslaught and an old enemy of Professor Xavier’s, Lucifer. After seeing a young Ororo Munroe about to be used as a puppet by the Shadow King, she sees Wolverine in his Weapon X tank, only with Apocalypse as the one who first put adamantium into his body. Eventually, Kitty manages to retrieve the data she came for and, after a run in with several hard light holograms of themselves, the trio depart before the feds arrive. They realize that the scenarios were probably just an attempt by Bastion to mess with their minds, but it’s made them wonder. (Brief description courtesy of uncannyxmen.net)
