CHARACTER INFORMATION
-
Marius was Bella Donna Boudreaux's and Julien Boudreaux's father and the leader of the Assassin's Guild of New Orleans. Marius' relationship with Gambit depends a lot on the circumstances. Though he did not approve of Bella Donna and Remy's relationship, even in childhood, he did work with Jean-Luc Lebeau, Remy's father, to arrange their marriage for the sake of the Guild's. Marius ran the Guild until he died suddenly of heart failure, but it was questioned by Bella Donna who believed it to be murder, but it was never proven. Marius never saw the bonding of the Guilds before his death.

HISTORY BREAKDOWN
-
Though they never really got along, Marius did agree to marry his only, and youngest, daughter to the adopted Remy LeBeau in an attempt to stop the war between the Thieves Guild and Assassin Guild. The wedding seemed to go as planned until after the ceremonies. Marius' oldest son, Julien refuses to accept the union and fights Remy to the death. Remy wins the fight which leads to Marius asking for Remy's life in exchange. Bella Donna changes his mind and they all agree with Remy's exile. Something Remy is not happy about in the least.
-
-
In their final meeting Marius had to play both sides of the field with Remy. On one hand he wanted Remy dead because he was breaking the laws of his exile, but on the other hand he wanted Remy to save his dying daughter, Bella Donna. Marius knew that only Remy could get a hold of the Elixir of Life from the Thieves Guild. Something that could bring heal his daughter. Marius did fight Remy at first, but it seemed to be all for show when he allowed Remy to leave with his sick daughter with only the demand to save her.

-
Later, Marius chose to save Remy, and his daughter Bella Donna, over saving his deranged son, Julien. He killed his son who was about to kill Remy. With the fight over, Remy used what was left of the elixir to heal Bella Donna. Unfortunately, the damage done by Rogue's powers remained. Remy left ailing Bella Donna with her Father, Marius.
