CHARACTER INFORMATION
-
Sabretooth is the classic sociopath brought
to a murderous turn by his abusive childhood. When Victor's mutation first
manifested, Victor killed his brother. His father would attempt to purge
his remaining son of his demons by pulling out his canine teeth and locking
him in the basement of the family home. One day Victor chewed off his own
hand in order to break free. He then murdered his father and rescued his
dying Mother by taking her to the hospital. After escaping his family home
he took a murderous trail that lead down decades of killing. Working with
Black Op groups, military groups, mafia and anyone else that would pay
him. This trail finally came to the group, Weapon X, which turned him into
the ultimate killing machine.

HISTORY BREAKDOWN
-
Remy and Sabretooth happened on to one another for the first
time almost by chance. Both were hired to find the same object and bring
it to their employer. The item was L'etroile du Tricherie. A priceless
necklace stolen by a con artist named Genevieve Darceneaux. Sabretooth
was hired by the original owner whom Genevieve stole it from. Remy was
working for his guild as a test of his skills. Gambit decided he wanted
to steal the jewel his way and use his skills of charm to con the con artist
out of the necklace, against his brother, Henri's wishes. Sabretooth gave
Remy the opportunity to enter into Genevieve's life. When Creed attacked
Genevieve in an alley, Remy was there to rescue the damsel in distress
creating a bond with the young woman. Victor stalked the young Cajun and
his new girlfriend treating the job more as a game of cat and mouse then
just a simple retrieval of stolen goods. When Gambit reached the end of
his con, getting the necklace and abandoning his prey, Sabretooth made
his move. Creed kidnapped Genevieve Darceneaux and Henri LeBeau. Sabretooth
used the two hostages as bait to lure Remy and the necklace to him. Once
there Victor gave Remy the choice of who he wanted to save in exchange
for the necklace. Remy made his choice resulting in the lose of the necklace
and the death of Genevieve Darceneaux.

Sabretooth crossed paths with Gambit again when being recruited
for Sinister's Marauders. It was not a happy reunion, but somehow Remy
managed to get the job done and keep his neck. Not aware of the true intentions
of the Marauders, Remy lead the group into the tunnels the Morlocks inhabited.
Upon finding a man Sabretooth killed in the sewers, Remy realized the real
reason the group had come. Gambit was told to leave, but he did not. Instead
Remy tried to stop the deadly mutants. Sabretooth put an end to Gambit's
interference by clawing him through the abdomen. Remy was unable to stop
the massacre, but managed to escape with his life and a young girl named
Marrow.

Years later, after Gambit had joined the X-Men, the two meet
again. Remy was a captive along with the rest of the X-Men in Fenris' Berlin
lab. Sabretooth appears to taunt his long time enemies only to find Remy
had joined “the side of the angels”. After making it very apparent they
had a past he injuries Remy to make a point before leaving.

During confinement by the X-Men, Sabretooth
was out to sabotage the rehab process as much as he could. One outlet for
that displaced rage was towards Remy. Knowing that the Cajun had told none
of the X-Men about any of his past indiscretions gave Creed ammunition.
He baited Rogue with the information when the couple came to check in on
him. Rogue returned alone wanting to know what Creed had to offer. Sabretooth
told Rogue everything about the con in Paris that lead to the death of
Genevieve. After the story was told, Rogue confronted Gambit about the
past. Gambit was concerned about just what Sabretooth had told her, but
was relieved to find it was only about the past in Paris and not about
the Marauders. Remy decided to give Victor a warning to shut his mouth
and stop interfering with his personal life.

After an epic fight with his arch-enemy, Wolverine, Sabretooth
became badly wounded by an adamantium claw to the head. The injury caused
memory lose and a complete personality change. Creed became a charge of
the X-Men in an attempt for help with his condition, even though most of
the X-Men disagreed on taking in their former enemy. Remy was not happy
with having the mutant in the mansion again. The Cajun did not agree with
giving the Sabretooth a second chance we he himself did not feel he deserved
one himself. Remy decided to try and jog Victor's memory by shoving holographic
images of the Creed's victims in his face, forcing him to remember his
past. Gambit hoped to prove to the X-Men that their enemy had not changed
at all and was still the psychopath they all knew him to be. Though the
torture was stopped by Storm and Gambit was sent away before he assaulted
Creed further, the treatment had lasting effects. Creed began to remember
his past and his true personality began to show through.

Later, Xavier decides to disband the
X-Men, but a suspicious Remy breaks his way back in to the mansion and
copies computer files revealing that Xavier disbanded the team because
he has reason to mistrust at least one of the team members. Gambit fears
that Xavier may be returning to his Onslaught form or that another mutant
threatens his family. To find out the truth he needed Sinister's help,
but lacked the present knowledge to find one of the doctor's lab. Remy
had to get the help of the only other Marauder that had not been cloned,
Sabretooth, since the cloned team members are programed to self destruct
if they betray Sinister. Gambit, along with his side kick, Courier, track
down Sabretooth in the Andes mountains where the dying mutant is being
taken care of by the Blood Tigers. In bad condition, due to the adamantium
being taken from his body by Apocalypse, Creed makes a deal with Remy opposed
to fighting with the younger mutant. Sabretooth would lead them to Sinister's
lab in Tasmania in return for Gambit finding a way to restore the adamantium
skeleton that Creed's body had become accustomed to. Creed keeps up his
end of the deal, leading the trio to the lab, where Remy gets the information
he needs. Later, to keep up his end of the deal, Gambit decided to get
adamantium for Creed from an unlikely source, stealing an adamantium stomach
that was going to be implanted into Judge Buechler, a dear friend of Daredevil.
Gambit was not the only one out to stop the surgery. Constrictor had his
own plans to get the adamantium stomach for his current employer in return
for his girlfriend. Gambit made a deal with all parties, he returned the
stomach to the judge, healed Constrictor's employer of his stomach problems
(glass imbedded from poisoned food) and Constrictor gave up his adamantium
coils to lace Sabretooth's skeleton once more.
--
--
Even though Remy and Victor managed to
work together well during their previous meeting, there was no long term
truce between the pair. Sabretooth attacked the mansion when he was running
with the new Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. He made a be-line for the then
blind, Gambit and Mindee, one of the Cuckoo sisters. Mindee used her telepathy
to be Remy's eyes so that he could properly aim his charged cards at Creed.
