ORIGINAL UNIFORM
-
On the cover of his first appearance his uniform was a little more fuchsia then normal. It was toned down in the actual comic and further down the line. The outfit normally consists of fuchsia and black (sometimes blue) spandex pants with fuchia and blue body armor covering his chest and neck. The boots he wears are chrome knee-high boots with metal knee pads attached. Of course the uniform is finished with a long brown trench coat. All in all, the uniform stayed for a VERY long time, only being substituted occasionally when a force of clothing change was necessary. There are a few variations here and there, like shorter coats or added tool belts. It normally changed when the artist changed, but they typically didn't last long.

X-MEN STANDARD ISSUE UNIFORM
-
This uniform didn't last long at all. He wore this in a storyline that began in Uncanny Annual #14, which was his first meeting and fight along side the X-Men. After the storeyline you would see it every now and then until the X-Men series began (Around #281 in Uncanny). Until then he switched back and forth between this uniform and his original uniform, sometimes with a trench and others with just a satchel for weapons. At the time, this was the standard issue X-Men uniform. Most everyone seemed to be wearing at the time. Yellow and blue spandex with a red 'X' belt and yellow gloves and boots.

-
AGE OF APOCALYPSE UNIFORM
-
This outfit was only worn during the four months of the original Age of Apocalypse series. It was more of the vagabond look to go with his almost pirate like lifestyle. It was a blue spandex type shirt and pants, with brown leather accents, brown leather boots and gloves, knee pads, blue rag headband and a red cape attached with a small red jewel. He wore this uniform throughout the entire series with very slight changes, based mainly on the artist drawing the comic at the time.

-
SHI'AR WARRIOR UNIFORM
-
This uniform was worn when half the team went up in space to save the Shi'ar Empire from the Phalanx. The team all put on various Shi'ar uniforms and wore them throughout the storyline. Gambit's suit was a standard issue warrior suit that regulated his body to some degree. Remy wore this uniform all the way up to Gambit 1/2 and was a large part of him surviving the icy cold weather of Antarctica. It consisted of a very tight blue spandex bodysuit with a metal armor across his chest and shoulders that was finished with the Shi'ar emblem in red.

ON-GOING SERIES VOL 1 UNIFORM
-
Gambit started wearing this uniform around the time he became field leader of the X-Men, mainly during the first On-Going series. More of a 'casual' uniform. A blue spandex shirt, that sometimes has an 'x' printed across the front, what appears to be blue jeans, a utility belt, a red bandana, the old silver knee-high boots, and, of course, the brown trench coat. This was almost a branch off the old Age of Apocalypse uniform. He wore this uniform throughout the latter half of the Gambit On-going series and in Uncanny X-Men, until he split off and joined the X-treme team. There were a few changes with this outfit from time to time, pants would change color, or the shirt would have an X across the front at times, but generally the same uniform.

X-TREME X-MEN UNIFORM
-
This uniform was worn throughout the X-Treme X-Men series. It was more theif-like then his other uniforms. Appropriate since he had gone back to theiving with the Guild during this time. Solid black spandex shirt, with black leather pants, black utility belts and pouches, armored gloves and kneepads, and finished off with black combat boots. Of course they left alone the trademark trench coat. After X-Treme ended the uniform pretty much went with it.

ULTIMATE X-MEN UNIFORM
-
Gambit picked up this uniform when he joined up with the Feris twins in the Ultimate universe. He did not appear in the uniform in his first appearance, but his second showing in the comic. This outfit is a little strange and very unlike the other universes wear they tend to stay somewhat the same. It consist of a black turtle neck, a ruffle-like blue shirt, and then a brown overcoat over black pants that are tucked into heeled pirate boots. He has really wavy hair in this series as well.

10TH ANNIVERSARY AGE OF APOCALYPSE UNIFORM
-
This is Remy's uniform in the continuing AOA series, celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the Age of Apocalypse. Instead of using the original they gave him a new costume. This one is a little more thrown together then the first vagabond look. It consist of wrap around leather pants, black spandex shirt and gloves, and an oversized cap/coat with a big spade on the side. It is all topped out with a pair of red goggle-like glasses. I am not sure if they a required for some reason, or just for show, but he wears them while using his powers.

ON-GOING SERIES VOL 2 UNIFORM
-
This uniform started around the time Gambit came back to the team after the break-up of the X-treme team. The uniform was mainly created for his second on-going series. He still has the trademark trench coat and he went back to those silver boots, but these has strange round ball-like tread to them. He wears a sleeveless armored vest that buckles in the front on top of grey spandex pants. The headband and neck cover is separate from the chest armor, but is still armored like the vest. This is his current uniform in the standard series as of now when he is not in a random uniform like Death.

MUTANT X UNIFORM
-
Mutant X is actually a alternate universe that Remy is the mutant vampire leader of the Guilds that joins The Six. He wore a uniform similar to the AOA and On-Going uniform in flashbacks, but this is the uniform he wears in the majority of the series. It looks like a pair of black biker shorts over purple spandex, topped with purple body armor and an aqua cape. He accessories with brown leather suspenders and pouch belt. Marrying Belladonna obviously did not give him any fashion sense.

THE END XSE UNIFORM
-
This is the uniform he wear in the "The End" series. He is an XSE agent in this possible future. It seems that all the XSE agents get to wear what they want, because none of them seem to have on the same thing. His uniform is a solid black spandex/armor suit with a white neckline and utility belt. It is finished with black boots and a strange white neck piece that goes up to his cheekbones. he also wears green glasses that are similar to the glasses he wore in X-treme that keeps them in contact with Sage. His hair is much shorter in this series as well, very Scott-like.

-
GENEXT UNIFORM
-
Even though the Genext United series is a branch of The End series the uniform is very different. Gambit appears in the storyline to help his son, Oliver. His uniform is a nod to Joe Madureira's outfit. It is even hinted at with an "After Mad!" sign in the panel he first appears. The uniform is very similar to his original outfit, only with a lack of pink and the overcoat is short instead of long.

First appearance in uniform: GeNext United #4
-
DEATH UNIFORM
-
This uniform was given to Gambit by Apocalypse after the villian turned him into his next Horseman, Death. Along with his new powers of releasing deadly gas from his arms he was given a very S&M , black, leather uniform to go with it. His normal trench coat remained, but was made of black leather. It was adorned with with several belts and chains. He also got a new skin-tone, very black. Also, a hair change, very white. He wore this outfit through the Endangered Spieces storyline. When he reappeared in the series as a Marauder he was back to normal in his Post X-treme Uniform.

FOREVER X-MEN UNIFORM
-
In Forever, Claremont's retelling of the X-Men comic, Gambit starts with his original uniform until several comics into the storyline. His new uniform, if that is what you can call it, is a black vested suit with a red dress shirt and black tie. It is all covered by a black trenchcoat. He wears his hair back in a ponytail and black sunglasses. The majority of the time he is not wearing his trademark fingerless gloves. In some panels you will see gloves, sometimes full gloves, a few times fingerless.

AGE OF X UNIFORM
-
In the advertisements of the Age of X series, Gambit gets a new uniform. In the promos for this series it is stated this will be more of an alternate universe/retelling series. The style of the uniform is similar to his original, only it is solid grey. He has an "X" arm band in red and a headband. The trademark trench is missing, but again, we will not know until later if the removal of the coat was just to make it less obvious it was Gambit in the "shadow" ads, or if his coat has really been removed. He also carries a very large gun in this series.

NEW EXILES UNIFORM
-
This uniform was from the VERY different Gambit from the New Exiles series. He was more of a "Namor" character then an original Gambit character like the first Exiles Gambit, but that makes sense since he is the son of Namor and the Invisible Woman. His uniform reflects that. It was a spandex like suit adorned with golden fish-like scale and a shell belt. He wears no shoes, just bare feet. There are also gold arm bands and a golden ear ring to match.

POST SCHISM LEGACY UNIFORM
-
Once Gambit chose his side and moved back to New York his uniform changed slightly. The general make and model stayed the same with the body armor and head gear, but the colors changed and slight bells and whistles were added. The uniform is more black with a purple accent color instead of the typical grey and pink. The duster is still around, but not always worn and seems to go a little more green then brown in the early issues.

ALL NEW X-FACTOR UNIFORM
-
Gambit leaves the X-Men and not only becomes the new King of Thieves, but also joins a new team, the All New X-Factor. A mysterious, corporate backed, superhero team, founded and funded by Serval Industries. Joining a new team you get new uniforms. Gambit, and the rest of the team, will be wearing company colors. Yellow and black armored bodysuits and glasses (similar to those made popular in X-Treme) are standard issue for the team. Of course, Gambit had to keep some type of jacket. Not his trademark long duster, but a waist length coat.

ASTONISHING X-MEN UNIFORM
-
Gambit got pulled into the newest Astonishing team by Psylocke, who was under attack psychically. At the time of the attack he was in the middle of a theft in a museum, which was orchestrated by Fantomex. The uniform was a mix of his X-Treme uniform, with the bandana from the AOA series, without a coat. It stuck through the majority of the Astonishing run and then disappeared.

MR. & MRS. X UNIFORM
-
Gambit and Rogue get their space honeymoon interrupted by Kitty with an urgent mission. On a ship they borrowed from Captain Marvel, they use the armor suits in the ship. Gambit wears this uniform through the first arc of the series. It still has his trademark colors, but is very different than his normal uniform, more like Shi'ar armor.

-
Now that all the mutants live on Krakoa, Gambit, and his now wife, Rogue, got pulled into the new Excalibur team. Joining Betsy Braddock, as the new Captain Britain, and the rest of the new team, they cross over between the regular reality and Avalon. The uniform he wears is more of a gray/brown pant and more modern versions of his boots and shirt. He still has his trademark coat, but it does change slightly when they crossover to Avalon, the coat tends to be shortened and there is a large hood.
